Railway Housing Association has begun the recruitment process to find a new Chair of its Board.

The successful candidate will be confirmed in February 2016, before being formally appointed to the Board and role of Chair on 3rd July, when current Chair Geoff Proudlock stands down.

Railway Housing Association Chief Executive Anne Rowlands said: “These are very challenging times for the social housing sector, with rent decreases and the planned Right to Buy scheme all having a major impact on providers like Railway Housing.

“We are seeking a Chair who will help us to meet these challenges whilst at the same time improving our services and providing new homes during the current difficult economic times.”

“It is a very rewarding role and one which we hope will attract a number of high quality applications.”

Previous experience of non-executive board level work, along with some understanding of social housing policy, is preferable, although not essential. The Association is ideally also looking for people with commercial and stakeholder engagement skills,

Further details about the role, along with an application pack, is available from Angela Lomax at DTP on 07702 213809 or email a.lomax@davidtolsonpartnership.co.uk

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday 27th January 2016, with dates set for interviews on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th February 2016.
