Mark Grandfield is planning to bring 20-plus years’ experience in the housing industry to bear in his new role as a Board Member at Railway Housing Association.

The 47-year-old is currently Chief Executive at Leeds Jewish Housing Association.

A qualified Building Surveyor, Mark has worked in the housing sector for over 20 years gaining substantial experience working for local authorities, housing associations and arm’s length management organisations.

This includes York City Council, Leeds City Council and Leeds Federated Housing Association.

This is Mark’s second non-executive role, and he is looking forward to making a valuable contribution in his role as a Board Member.

He says: “Leeds Jewish Housing Association and Railway Housing Association both have a strong background and heritage, and they are not too dissimilar in size as Railway.

“This makes it a perfect fit for me, and I am looking forward to bringing my experience in areas such as governance and asset management to bear so I can play my part in enabling the Association to meet its strategic objectives.”

Railway Housing Association Chief Executive Anne Rowlands said: “We are pleased to have been able to attract someone of Mark’s calibre. He will add a further dimension to a well-rounded board which has a great mix of people with housing and other professional experience.”
