If you suspect a gas leak or fumes from a gas appliance turn off your gas supply immediately. Call TRANSCO on 0800 111 999 or for our deaf or hard of hearing residents 0800 371 787. You should then open windows and doors. Do not use naked flame, do not turn any lights or electrical switches on or off. If you reside in a scheme that has a door entry system do not use this system until the leak has been contained. If further repairs are then required during office hours ring our office on the freephone number 0800 028 7428. Out of hours ring Hartlepool Neighbourhood Services on 01429 298988. If you reside in a scheme and have a pull cord that connects you to a Central Warden Call Centre you should pull the cord and report your required repairs - these centres have all the correct contractor numbers to call on your behalf.
