Contractor Information

The Association holds an approved list of contractors who carry out reactive maintenance and work on service contracts at your property. Contractors are vetted before they go onto our list and have to provide the Association with certain information, for example insurances and Equal Opportunities Policy (or embrace the Association's policy).

Contractors also receive a Code of Conduct if they are going to be placed onto the list which is a guideline as to how we expect them/their employees to conduct themselves whilst working for the Association. Reactive maintenance is monitored both by residents and the Association and we expect the contractors to take up their role in this monitoring by replying to correspondence promptly.

Our Contractors are also monitored after planned/cyclical maintenance via questionnaires sent out to a percentage of residents whose property was included in the programme for that year. Each resident included in a quarterly mini planned programme will be sent a monitoring questionnaire to be completed and returned once work is complete.

The Association's geographical working area is widespread and has properties located in the North East from Berwick upon Tweed down to Doncaster. Should you wish to be considered for the Association's Approved List of Contractors please ring the office number (01325 482125) and speak to the Maintenance Support Officer for an informal chat, certain information will be required initially and if applicable an approved list application pack can be sent.
